Munich Office
Develop a new office complex along the central vehicular and rail transport corridor of Munich, Germany. Program includes high-quality office space, retail units of various sizes, a bar and restaurant, an internal courtyard, and an urban scale food market. I was appointed as the design architect and spent the majority of my time developing the external façade of the project. I was interested in exploiting the experience of passing by the project on the train, tram, or automobile. The façade is composed of the same angled element, which is shifted throughout the side, which will create a wave effect as one passes through. It also creates privacy of the offices from the adjacent viewpoint, while allowing 100% view outward from within the office itself. Construction completed in 2016.
This project was designed and developed as an architect employed by Goetz Hootz Castorph.
